Every week, we publish the waiver wire adds we like most for fantasy basketball — players rostered in under 65% of Yahoo leagues whose opportunity is about to grow. The picks come from the same data this site tracks every day: the depth charts for all 30 teams, the official NBA injury report (cross-checked before every update), and actual minutes played.
The idea is simple. When a starter gets hurt or a rotation changes, the minutes have to go somewhere. The depth chart tells you who is next in line, and the box scores tell you whether it is already happening. Most waiver columns react to big scoring nights; we would rather find the minutes before the points show up.
Each edition organizes the picks into tiers by league size — from the adds worth making in a 10-team league down to the deep-league stashes — and lists each player’s Yahoo roster percentage at the time of writing.
Week 0 Waiver Wire Adds (October 22, 2026)
Opening week: nineteen adds across five tiers, sorted by league size. Yves Missi and DeMar DeRozan headline the 10-team tier, Charlotte’s injury openings fill the middle tiers, and Keon Ellis — a starter rostered in under 5% of Yahoo leagues — anchors the deep-league names.
New editions are published weekly during the NBA season. Roster percentages are Yahoo figures as of publication and move fast once the games start — check your league before someone else does.
